Progress with 309 Broadway Façades

Progress is being made on site with the installation of the aluminium façade panels at 309 Broadway. Structus provided the design for the aluminium Ombrae panels and supporting frame, to be installed on three external elevations. The Ombrae pattern is created by changing the topology of the surface by punching semi-circular shapes in the panels and bending these. Optical tiles embedded in the surface control the amount of light reflected, which allows full reflective control of the panel to create the desired image. This offers dynamic viewing experiences when viewed from different angles or in different lighting.

Structus also designed large cantilevered perforated aluminium fins and supporting framework, plus balustrade screens, to be installed around the carpark levels.
