Pullman Hotel Progressing Well

Structus have provided structural engineering services for the new 11 storey Pullman Hotel in central Rotorua, which is nearing construction completion. Our services have been extensive to support our client throughout the transformation of this 1980’s building from an office to high spec Hotel, and include:
• A full Detailed Seismic Assessment
• Extensive intrusive and non-intrusive investigation works of the floors
• Design, Revit documentation and construction monitoring of:
o Seismic Retrofitting
o Extensive new steel and concrete structures to enable the transformation, including for new floor openings, plant supports and new stairs
o Extensive floor crack remediation using Epoxy Flooding
o Floor Strengthening using FRP (fibre reinforced polymer), which was pull tested to verify the substrate capacity
o An innovative Floor Levelling solution implemented throughout the building
